In 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi gulf coast. In response to this great need, a group of southern laymen and ministers traveled to the New Orleans Louisiana area to meet with the leadership of churches, and church associations, and the Louisiana State Convention. The visit was for the purpose of establishing a partnership between the Golden Triangle Baptist Association and churches in need. In the last two decades numerous named storms have affected our area locally. Nehemiah’s Vision has been involved in restoring and rebuilding thousands of homes. In 2023 Nehemiah’s Vision changed it’s Mission Statement to include “unnatural disasters” affecting someone’s home. We have partnered with other non profits such as “Meals on Wheels” who serves 2400 people daily, locally. We are assisting with the remodel, construction needs of some of those homebound clients. There are so many people that have unmet needs at their homes. Nehemiah’s Vision is here to help them as those needs arise.
